A positive charge +Q is fixed at a point in space. There is another charge -q, which moves in a circular path of radius r around the given fixed charge. Assume that the electrostatic force between them is the only force acting on them. Calculate time period of revolution of charge.

Hey,if the charge is moving in circular path around a charge then it have centripetal force. And if the distance between them is not decreasing then, electrostatic force=centripetal force. Therefore,kq1×q2/r^2=mrω^2 As ω=(2π/T) Therefore,kq1×q2/r^2=mr(2π/T)^2 kq1×q2/r^2=mr4π^2/T^2 Further,solve the equation obtained and find the value of T=period of revolution,if you are really curious about this question..
