11 steps. As, 1+3= 4. 1 step 4+-2= 2. 2 steps 2+3=5. 3 steps 5+-2=3. 4 steps ,3+3=6, 5 steps 6+-2=4, 6 steps 4+3=7, 7 steps 7+-2=5, 8 steps 5+3=8, 9 steps 8+-2=6, 10 steps 6+3=9. 11 steps Therefore total 11 steps.
