Sometimes we use since to denote verb in this sentence we are denoting raining that's why we use since here.

But we use since like - l didn't go to the market since it was raining. ?In this sentence, there is no particular time

We use since when we talk about time and it should be fix for example 2 o'clock,monday,january etc.means when we are talking about a particular day, particular time,month. We use because when we want to give any reason for example I want to listen that song because I like it. We use as when we assume or compare something for example she was talking as she was h fool.
