Ribosomes are small membrane bound organelles which is present in both prokaryotic and eukaruotic cells that helps in the formation of ROUGH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM. They are scattered in the protoplasm and they are the sites of PROTIEN SYNTHESIS.

Ribosomes are small membrane bound organelles that are the site of protein synthesis...... The are usually scattered in the cytoplasm or are attached to the endoplasmic reticulum forming the RER. It is the only membrane bound organelle that is found in both prokaryotic as well eukaryotic cells......
