On 1919 April 13, thousands of men and women are gathered in jallianwala bagh to celebrate a sikh festival baishaki. Some came to protest against the repressive new measures of government. Robert Dyer entered the area and closed narrow exit points and opened fire killing hundreds.

It took place in 13 april 1919 in amritsar punjab . It is during the rowlatt act in which martial law introduced . General dyer took command he entered in a high enclosed building he blocked the entry gate and firing unwillingly many of people died.
