The persons whose kidney is destroyed they take help of artificial kidney to survive. Artificial kidney does the work which is done by our kidney (or by millions of nephron. )usually. But the nephron does filtration faster then the artificial kidney.

The process of artifical kindney it name was hemodialysis it purified that blood which has the unpurified blood that had urea and excess salt

The blood is collected from the veins and is purified in a tank. Then, the purified blood is then pumped back to the body through arteries. This process is called hemodialysis. This is meant for patients with kidney failure.
