Equipotential surface is a surface on which voltage is same throughout the surface Properties: 1.Work done in moving charge over equipotential surface is zero 2.electric field lines of force are perpendicular to the surface 3.no 2 equipotential surface can intersect each other because if they intersect we can 2 normals which is not possible

It is of three types: Equipotential-1)line- all the points on the line have same potential. 2)plane/surface- all the points on the surface have same potential. 3) volume- all the points in the vole have same potential. eg- every conductor is equipotential( surface or volume) this can be proved by work method proving that it has E=0 on its surface. I have answered according to the ques.( only most imp. property). This may help you.
