The rational number (23+14)÷ 2 lies in the middle of the two given rational numbers, that is,  23 and 14.
Now, (23+14) = (2)×4+3×112 = 8+312 = 512
 (23+14) ÷ 2 = 512 ÷ 2 = 512 × 12 = 524
Thus, the required rational number is 524. That is, 23 < 524 < 14.
