The five types of reaction are: decomposition, combination, single displacement, double displacement, and combustion.
1. Decomposition reaction
In this type of reaction, compounds break into elements or other compounds.
Example:
2KClO3 ---------> 2KCl + 3O2
2. Combination reaction
Involves the combination of substances to form a single new substance.
For example,

2H2 + O2 → 2H2O
3. Single displacement
Involves one element displacing another element from its compound.
For example,

Cl2 + 2HI → 2HCl + I2

4. Double displacement
Involves the exchange of positive ions between two compounds.
For example,

AgNO3 + NaCl → AgCl + NaNO3
5. Combustion
It involves the reaction of an element or a compound with oxygen.
For example,

CH4 + 2O2 → CO2 + 2H2O
0Thank You
