For hydrogen electrode:
{tex}{H^ + } + {e^ - } \to \frac{1}{2}{H_2}{/tex}
Applying Nernst equation:
{tex}E = {E^{0}} - \frac{{0.0591}}{n}\log \frac{1}{{\left[ {{H^ + }} \right]}}{/tex}
{tex} = 0 - \frac{{0.0591}}{1}\log \frac{1}{{{{10}^{ - 10}}}}{/tex} [pH = 10 means {tex}\left[ {{H^ + }} \right]{/tex}
{tex} = {10^{ - 10}}M{/tex}
{tex} = - 0.0591 \times 10 = - 0.591V{/tex}
