Charge on 6 uf capacitor will be equal to product of capacitance and potential difference. = 6uf×2v =12 u coulombs there fore charge on 12uf capacitor will be equal 12 u coulombs. And potential difference across it will be = capacitance = charge ÷ potential difference therefore, v = q÷c v= 12 u c ÷ 12 uf v = 1 volt therefore total potential difference is = 2v + 1v = 3v
