Let the complement of 70 is x.
So
x+ 70 = 90
=> x = 90 - 70
=> x = 20

When two angles add to 90°, we say they "Complement" each other. because the right angle is thought of as being a complete angle. Complement of 70 is
90-70= 20 degrees.
