What is the difference between current fallow and old fallow

Old fallow land means the land which was unfit for cultivation in terms of fertility, water holding capacity etc. It is no longer used for cultivation.
Current fallow means the land on which the cultivation is being done for the last times and soon the land will too be counted as barren.
