3x^2-x-2=0 Dividing the equation by 3 X^2-x/3 -2/3=0 X^2-x/3+1/36=2/3+1/36 {adding 1/36 on both side} (X-1/6)^2=25/36 X-1/6=5/6 X=5/6+1/6 X=1
