The given n odd natural numbers are,
1, 3, 5, .... n
Clearly,it is an AP with ,
First term (a) = 1
Common difference (d) = 3 - 1 = 2
Number of terms = {tex}{/tex}n
Sum of n terms {tex} = \frac{n}{2}\left[ {2a + (n - 1)d} \right]{/tex}
{tex} = \frac{n}{2}\left[ {2 \times 1 + (n - 1) \times 2} \right]{/tex}
{tex} = \frac{n}{2}\left[ {2 + 2n - 2} \right]{/tex}
{tex} = \frac{n}{2} \times 2n{/tex}
= n2
