The pH of acidic solution varies from 0-6.9, while that of basic solution varies from 7.1-14. Hence, the lower is the pH value, more is the acidic strength of a substance. Conversely, more is the pH, more is the basic character of the substance. Thus, out of HCl and NaOH, NaOH will have higher pH.
