  • Silver chloride which is white colour turns to grey colour silver due to decomposition reaction which occur in presence of sunlight. Such reactions are called as Photo chemical reactions. Silver chloride turns grey when kept in sunlight.
  • When an iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution, the more reactive iron displaces the less reactive copper from copper sulphate solution.
    {tex}CuS{O_4}(aq) + Fe(s) \to FeS{O_4}(aq) + Cu(s){/tex}
    In this reaction, the iron nails become brownish in colour and blue colour of copper sulphate solution fades away.
