In the chapter-Nelson Mandela ,he mentioned that there were two national anthoms sung that was-one for blacks and one for whites . He said that it symbolises unity and equality .But how can it be called as equality if they did not even have one unique national anthem ?

I think it could have been hard for the government to make them agree on a same national anthem. As each group have its own sentiment about the country which is expressed by their anthem. Its more like unity in diversity
