Water harvesting is collection of water from natural sources and saving of water same as proactive development of greenery and forest. it is also a proactive activity. There are many types of measures by which water harvesting can be done. Some of described as under :-
Roof Top Rain Water Harvesting system in residential buildings/offices :- Collection of rain water by construction a either earthen pit for recharge the underground water to make the water table high or make a RCC Pit for the collection and instant use of water for daily consumption.
Construction of stop dam on temporary streams, river to collect the rain water .
Construction of ponds.
Cleaning of existing wells to remove the sludge etc to utilize it's depth at maximum level.
Dense plantation for the reoccurrence of rain in monsoon.
