Kanyakumari is situated nearer to equator and it lies in equatorial zone. In equatorial zones the duration of day and night are almost equal . Kashmir lies in subtropical zone. Here the duration of day and night is not equal . So, the duration of day and night is more prominent in kashmir than in kanyakumari.
