  Glacier River
(i) A moving mass of snow and ice is called a glacier. A mass of running water is called a river.
(ii) Glaciers are found either on snow-caped mountains or in higher latitudes. Pindari glacier and Siachen glacier are examples in India. Rivers flow from mountain top to the oceans. The Ganga and Yamuna are te example of rivers in India.
(iii) The landforms created by the glaciers are Cirque, U-shaped valley, Arete, Moraine, Outwash fan etc. The landforms formed due to river action V-shaped valley, Meanders, Ox-bow lakes, Deltas, Estuary etc.
