2x²-x-1=2x²-2x+x-1=2x(x-1)+(x-1)=(x-1)((2x+1)
and 4x²+8x+3.=4x²+6x+2x+3=2x(2x+3)+(2x+3)=(2x+3)(2x+1)
Here common factor=2x+1
hence HCF=2x+1
