NCERT is absolutely enough for subjects like Chemistry , Physics , English , Social Sciences but I may not say the same for Mathematics . RD Sharma or RS Aggrawal is generally considered the most important supplementary material for Maths along with thorough practice of NCERT as well.

Ncert is more than enough..bt for subjects like hindi and english...bt to some extent it is benefial for sst also..bt you need to practice some extra questions fr sst..bt yes for maths- ncert is enough..bt you should be aware that maths need a lot of practice....so you should practice rd sharma..aur any other good reference book like xam idea also...bt there are some conepts in rd sharma which are not at 10th level..so no need to do that...and yes for science especially for physics you need to go through some extra books like all in one , xam idea is best....bt after completing yur ncert...give yur first priority to ncert..!! Hope your doubt is cleared now...and all the best???

Actually the board paper is all "based" on the topics of ncert... But it never means that only ncert can give you 95+.... In subjects like s.s.t. , hindi and english ncert is more than enough.... But the problem begins in the case of science and mathematics.... In science there are 90% topics in which only ncert is enough but for the other 10% you definitely need other books...chs like carbon and its compounds, magnetic effects..etc... Need books other than ncert... Bcoz in this case ncert is neither sufficient not absolutely reliable....and in mathematics you just need to clear your basics for which ncert is enough but maths demands practice and so uou have to move towards books like R.D. Sharma and so and so....hope it helps...?
