Firt assume 2+3√5 is rational So 2+3√5=p/q (where p andq are co-prime) 2+3√5=p/q 3√5=p/q-2 3√5=5/q-2q/q √5=15/q-6q/q But this contradicts the fact √5 is irrational. 2+3√5 is rational Hence proved.
