A(0, 2) is equidistant from B(3, p) and C(p, 5). Therefore,
AB = AC
AB2 = AC2
(3 - 0)2 + (p - 2)2 = (p - 0)2 + (5 - 2)2
32 + p2 + 4 - 4p = p2 + 9
9 + 4 - 4p = 9
4 - 4p = 0
4 = 4p
p = 1
AB = {tex}\sqrt{(3-0)^2+(p-2)^2}=\sqrt{9+(1-2)^2}{/tex}{tex}=\sqrt{10}{/tex}
