    Metals-

    Metals are usually solid but mercury is metal which is a liquid.

    According to the properties of metals, metals are hard but sodium and potassium is so soft that it can be cut with a knife.

    Nonmetals-

    Graphite is a nonmetal that can conduct electricity. (We generally know that nonmetals are insulators)
