    Because in equipotential surface ,potential is same or equal everywhere, And we know potential=w÷q

    We know that,the change in potenial of a body on any point on the equipotential surface is constant. work done per unit charge is the change is potential. Since,in the equipotential surface,change in potential is zero. Therefore work done on the equipotential surface is zero.
