or, 2y = 5 - x
or, {tex}y = \frac { 5 - x } { 2 }{/tex}
When x = 1, we have y = 2
When x =3, we have y = 1
When x = 5, we have y = 0
Thus, we have the following table given points on the line x + 2y = 5
2x -3y = - 4.......(2)
-3y = - 4 - 2x
or -3y = -(4 + 2x)
or, {tex}y = \frac { 2 x + 4 } { 3 }{/tex}
When x = 1, we have y = 2
When x = 4, we have y = 4
When x = -2, we have y = 0
Thus we have the following table giving points on the line 2x - 3y = -4
Graph of the given equations x+ 2y = 5 and 2x - 3y = - 4 is as given below:
