  3. Manure provides humus to the soil. Fertilizer does not provide humus to the soil
  4. Manure is less rich in plant nutrients Fertilizers are rich in plant nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium
  5. Manure can be prepared in fields and inconvenient to store and transport Fertilizer is prepared in factories .Easy to store and transport
  6. Manure is absorbed slowly by plants Example: Green manure Fertilizers are absorbed readily by plants Example: Urea
