No book is ideal to crack any kind of exam. You only need is to build up concepts stronger and practise more and more on that. But every exam,NCERT books gives you all informations at a glance in very short so you have to study them in detail by yourself also its questions provides you every kind of applications of conceptual questions. Finally, follow only one book blindly and for reference you may use any book and be focused in your syllabus as issued in ncert.

Yah....for board ncert is best...but on the other side, both pradeep and modern abc is nice...but according to me....modern abc is more appropriate???
