Given side of a cube = 14cm

Cube is melted to form a cylinder of diameter 7 cm

Radius = 3.5 cm

Since the cube is melted to a cylinder

Volume of cylinder = Volume of cube

{tex}\eqalign{ & \pi {r^2}h = {a^3} \cr & {{22} \over 7}{\left( {{7 \over 2}} \right)^2}h = {(14)^3} \cr & h = {{2744 \times 2 \times 2 \times 7} \over {22 \times 7 \times 7}} \cr & h = 71.272\,cm. \cr & \cr} {/tex}
