Use molarity formula ,i.e., M= no. of moles of solute/ Vol. of solution (in litre). 0.5 = n/0.250=> n=0.5*0.25 => n= 0.125 moles of NaCl. Now for grams of NaCl , n = wt in gram / molar mass. 0.125 = wt / 58 => wt = 7.250 grams.
