Its not overcutting.....its actually overlapping social differences......by the way......overlapping social diffences is when one type of social difference overlaps some other kind of social difference Eg-social division between blacks and whites in america. Cross cutting social differnce means when one type of social division becomes more important than the otherIt means that a group that share a common interest on one issue are likely to be on different sides on a different issue. In here, it is easy to accommodate and no tensions. Example -Northern Ireland and Netherlands both are predominantly Christians but divided between Catholics & Protestant..... Hope it helps.....
