    Some steps were taken by the govenment to increase the agricultural production Abolition of jamindari systum ,collectivisation were introduced 2 subsidy government provides the subsidy to the farmers to buy the seeds , fertilizers etc highest subsidy is given on fertilizers . 3 Hyv seed are given by the government 4 government established th banks and agricultural industries Agricultural industries give the information to the farmers about crops NABARD bank is established to give the loan to farmers for buying agricultural product . 5 govwerment provide crop insurance against flood ,drought and any kind of natural disaster.

    Under comprehensive land development programme, institutional and technical reforms were introduced to increase the agricultural production. Provision for crop insurance against drought, flood, cyclone, fire and disease, establishment of Grameen banks cooperative societies and banks for providing loan facilities to the farmers at lower rates of interest were some important steps in this direction.
