Spheres present at the corner=8 Contribution=1/8 No. Of spheres per unit cell at the corner=8×1/8 =1 Volume of one sphere=4/3pi r^3 Volume of cube=a^3 =(2r)^3=8r^3 {Here a=2r bcz the spheres (of radius ,r) of the unit cell r attached to each other,so r+r=2r} P.E=(volume of one sphere/volume of cube)×100 =(4/3pi r^3/8r^3)×100 =52.4%
