    (i) It was, movement which was launched in the first decade of the twentieth century.
    (ii) In 1907-08, some 300 Vietnamese nationalist students went to Japan to acquire modem education.
    (iii) For most of them, the primary objective was to drive out the French from Vietnam, overthrow the puppet emperor and re­establish the Nguyen dynasty that had been deposed by the French.
    (iv) These nationalists looked for foreign arms and help. They appealed to the Japanese help as fellow Asians.

For most of them, the primary objective was to drive out the French from Vietnames, over throw the puppet emperor and reestablish the Nguyen dynasty that had been deposed by French.
