Length of carpet area=22-(0.75*2=22-1.5=20.5 m

Width=15.5-2.0.75=15.5-1.5=14 m

so area A =20.5 x 14 = 287 m2

Now width of the carpet  = 82 cm =0.82 m

Hence length of carpet used in 287 m2 area

{tex}\begin{array}{l}=\frac{area}{width}=\frac{287}{0.82}=350m\\\end{array}{/tex}

So cost of carpet= 350 x 60=Rs 21000
