Treaty of Versailles was signed by all the allied powers holding Germany responsible for all the wars they fought till yet. It was very harsh and humiliating because Germany had to pay a compensation of 6 billion lives and had to give away 24percent of iron and 76 percent of coal to Poland and Lithuania. It also had to give away it's industrial area and one third of its population.
