Equivalent resistance for parallel = 

{tex}{1\over R'} = {1\over 6}+ {1\over 6} = {1\over 3}{/tex}

=> R' = 3

R' is in series with 6 Ohm,

So equivalent Resistance R = 6 + 3 = 9 ohm
