Ans. Following are the observation made by Zia ud din Barani :
- Alauddin Khilji was a shrewd administrator who knew the root cause of the decline of the administration.
- Khilji was bound to take stringent measures against the nobles and made their life difficult by introducing new rules and regulations.
- The positions of the nobles were turned into ordinary one and spies were appointed to put a check on their activities.
