Small intestine is called the site of complete digestion becausr all the substances ( fats, protiens and carbohydrates) are converted into tgeir most simple forms. Fats are converted into fatty acids and glycerol by lipase. Protiens are converted into amino acids by aminopeptidases. 70% of leftover starch is converted into maltose.

The small intestine is the longest part of the alimentary canal. Enzymes present in the intestine completely digest the partially digested food. Small intestine is called as site for complete digestion as the process of digestion is completed here and the food is completely broken down into its respective constituents.
