Possessive adjectives are always used before a noun E.g. - This is my car . Here, my is used before car which is a noun. But , possessive pronoun are never used before a noun. Generally they are used before verb, adjective etc. E.g. - This car is mine . Here, mine is used at last and not before a noun. So it is a possessive pronoun and not a possessive adjective. So this is the difference between possessive pronoun and adjective
