* Esterification= it is a reaction in Which alcoholS like ethanol react with carboxylic aciDs like ethanoic acid on warming in presence of few drops of sulphuric acid to form a sweet smelling ester or ethyl ethanoate: * CH3cooH. + C2H5OH. ____ H2so4_____ ch3cooc2h5 + H2O * Ester is the main ProDuct of eSterification.which is used as a flavoring agent and also use in making of perfumes, Etc. * saponification= The alkaline hydrolysis of Ester using alkali (water soluble base) like sodium hydroxide is known as saponification. * ch3coohc2h5. + NaoH. -----heat----- ch3coona + c2h5oh * esters are used as reactant .for preparation of soap.which is used to clean dirty cloths

Esterification is the reaction b/w ethanol (C2H5OH) and ethanoic acid (CH3COOH) in the presence of a few drops of Sulphuric acid give ester and water.Ester is a sweet smelling substance. Sanponification is the reaction of ester in the presence of an alkali like NaOH to get back the alcphol,i.e, ethanol and sodium acetate(CH3COONa+).

Saponification reaction in preperation of soap CH3COOH+Na--->CH3COONa+H2O Esterification is used to make esters which are sweet smelling subsance. Esterification is a reaction between an acid and alchohol. C2H5OH+CH3COOH->CH3COOC2H5
