let the total no. of balls be x. P(E) of red balls = 1/4 Total red balls =x/4 P(E) of blue balls =1/3 Total red balls = x/3 Total balls =x x/3+x/4+10=x 3x+4x+120/12=x 7x +120=12x 120=12x-7x 120/5=x x=24
