R/Ro = N/No = (1/2)^n Given- R/Ro=3.125% & T=10yrs R/Ro= (1/2)^n 3.125/100= (1/2)^n 1/32= (1/2)^n (1/2)^5= (1/2)^n 5=n As we know that, n= t/ T then, t= T×n t=10×5=>50yrs Hence, the radioactive isotope will give 50yrs to reduce to 3.125%.
