Narrator took many steps like: 1.provoking ranga by saying that ratna is already married. 2.calling him to ratna's home so that they could meet and ranga could listen to her song. 3.taking ranga to a shastri who even made predictions on hear say.narrator taught him what to say in front of ranga. 4.finally revealing that ratna is not married and is best to marry ranga.
