Let father age be x year And the sum of the ages of two children be (a+b) years ATQ X=2(a+b) =2a+2b..........1 After 20 years X+20=a+20+b+20 X=a+b+20.........2 On equating...1and2 a+b=20...putting value of a+b in eq....1 X=2(a+b) X=2(20) X=40 ans So the age of father is 40 years
