A certain amount of money amounts to ₹4400 in two years and to ₹4600 in three years. Find the principal and rate of interest.

simple interest = principal*rate*time/100
interest of one year = 4600 - 4400 = 200
then, principal = 200*100/R*1
PR = 20000
I = PRT/100
for first two year, I = 20000*2/100
I = 400
principal = amount - interest
principal = 4400 - 400 = 4000
R = I*100/PT
R = 400*100/4000*2
R = 5%
