Overlapping-1. Under this social different Overlaps with each other. 2.people start feeling that they belong to different communities. 3.create possibilities of deep social division. Cross cutting-1.under this social difference cross cuts another difference. 2.the group can share a common interest on one issues but are likely to be in different sides in different issues. 3. These are easier to accommodate.
