(i) The high population density zone, which has a population density greater than 500 persons per sq km, consists of the states Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Kerala. (ii) The low density zone, which has a population density lesser than 100 persons per sq km consists of the states Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram. (iii) The remaining states fall in the moderate population density zone with 250-500 persons living per sq km. e.g. Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and so on

The 3 population density zones of india are-------- →High density zone : mostly found in Northern plains having above 500 people per sq.km →Moderate density zone : mostly found in mountain region, having 250-500 people per sq.km →Low density zone : mostly found in plateau region, having below 250 people per sq.km
